The architecture behind our award winning solutions is a blend of industrial strength operating systems, such as Sun Solaris and innovative Open Source programming languages, representing a total of over 50 man years worth of development to build our scalable, secure and robust product suite.
At the core of Spider's hosting framework lies a completely interoperable set of industry standards. We do not believe in wedding ourselves to a single technology platform or solution; our expertise lies in enabling a customer's existing investment and infrastructure into the solution - not just sitting next to it. By providing an in-house built middleware architecture, utilising such standards as XML, Web Services and SOAP, we can pass on significant cost-savings in terms of requiring third party licences.
Our application development work is done in whichever language is best suited for the task. We currently run applications under Perl/Apache, C#/.Net/IIS and many others. We take advantage of leading-edge Open Source Software such as Exim and anti-spam technology, as well as integrating commercial products such as Kaspersky Anti-virus, SQLServer and Informix. We provide shrink wrapped solutions such as Web Hosting and DNS management as well as bespoke community tools, such as customisable Email controls. We are not wedded to one path, just one map.
We can talk to you and your applications in XML, HTML, RSS, SOAP and Web Services. We feel that one of our strongest abilities is to be able to deliver simple solutions to complex problems, without blinding you with technology. To us, technology is there to deliver the end product, not just to drive more and more development effort and processes.
